Probably you think that Arnold Schwarzenegger is only an actor and he is not a professional sportsman but you are not right. He is one of the best bodybuilders of 20 century. His book describes his course of sport life and also his life without sport. I’m absolutely agreed with author and quotes from this book are very important for me. In the book he tells about his health and influence of sport. «Not the least reward of a fit body is continuous good health. As a very small child I was constantly sick. Even later on I spent a part of every year in bed with a heavy cold. Since I began bodybuilding, in the last fourteen years, I have only been sick two or three times, and then it was only a minor cold. I have developed a perfect communication between my body and my mind; I have total control over my body. My body responds better; I fight off things easier. My body has become like a clock, a special clock that is tuned so well it only goes wrong one second in five years. That's how I feel about my body. It is so perfect that everything works» [109]. So, sport helps to be in shape and be healthy for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

My opinion is the same. From my point of view, when your body is strong and health, when your muscles are trained – you are a very strong person. When you are doing exercises your body is working, all of your systems are working and you are concentrated on your body. It will help you when you are ill, because your body won’t be sick. If we take the training of one athlete, we will see not a chaotic set of exercises, but the purposeful development of each individual part of the body and the General physical condition as a whole. Any training includes cardio load, load on the main muscle groups and specialized load depending on the sport.

So I can tell you that while you are training you are:
1. Training your cardiovascular system. Constant physical stress causes the heart to work harder, actively pumping blood. It helps in better blood supply of the body.
2. The development of the musculoskeletal system. Pumping muscles and strengthening joints prevents diseases of the joints, bone fragility, etc.
3. General improvement of the excretory system and metabolism.
4. Every athlete monitors the diet, the amount of water in the body.
5. Every athlete leads a healthy lifestyle.

As it was said before sport is a very big part of our life. It helps us to be in shape, be healthy and stay strong. So, sport helps us in Physical development. Now let’s move on to the second part of my project Personal development. Sport is one of the most important factors in the formation of a personality.

Sport is a daily routine work that requires patience, hard work, a clear understanding of your goals. It doesn’t matter who you are: a child, a teenager or an adult, sport will catch influence your behavior. Sport teaches to overcome difficulties, to ignore the evil and pessimistic views of others. Sport teaches you to get up and keep going when it would seem there is no way out and no desire to move on.

If we again refer to the book «The Education of a bodybuilder» by Arnold Schwarzenegger you can find the author's opinion about sports from the point of view of psychology and the future life after sport. «I think the most important things I developed through bodybuilding were my personality, confidence and character. Bodybuilding changed me entirely. I think I would be a different person now if I'd never trained, if I'd just worked somewhere. It gave me confidence and 119 pride and an unlimited positive attitude. I can apply my success to everything. I just looked back at how I did it in bodybuilding and then applied it to other things. With acting, now, I am determined to work as hard on removing my accent as I was on improving my poor calves. The same with business» [108; 110]. Sport taught Arnold to move towards his goal. Set a goal and achieve it. «My school friends thought I was crazy. But I didn't care. My only thoughts were going ahead, building muscles and more muscles» [16]. Arnold Schwarzenegger learned not to pay attention to other people's views and opinions. «In two or three years I had actually been able to change my body entirely. That told me something. If I had been able to change my body that much, I could also, through the same discipline and determination, change anything else I wanted. I could change my habits, my whole outlook on life» [28]. Sport helps to temper the character.

The same opinions have different popular sportsmen like Alina Kabaeva and Margarita Mamun from rhythmic gymnastics, Emile Hegle Svendsen and Ole-Einar Bjoerndalen from biathlon and many others sportsmen.

On the example of Arnold I was convinced that sport is a method of achieving the goal.

Based on these quotes and my personal idea of sports, I can conclude that sport is one of the most important activities and it helps to form personality and steadfast character.

During my work I have also interviewed people and asked them some questions connected with sport.

Based on the views of different scientists and athletes, my personal opinion and opinions of different people, I analyzed the impact of sport on the body.

In my work I proved that sport is very important and is one of the steps in the formation of personality. Sport helps in the formation of personality in both physical and personal development.

Of course, there are two sides of sports and it is not an ideal option for maintaining health. After all, injuries often pursue athletes and begin worry in the future. However, the formation of a stable character, awareness of your own goals and objectives, decision – making-this is what will help to form a person as a person.
